...I'm sure no one expected that title. It's no secret that I do not update the blog as much as I would like to and there's a very simple reason behind it. It's not because I have a ton of other things to work on, or that I'm too lazy to have to write something (although now that I've typed that out I realize it sounds fake). I hate blogging because talking about jewelry processes isn't engaging or fun to me. Don't get me wrong, I love making pieces, I love learning new techniques...writing about them not so much. It wasn't until a very recent conversation with a friend that I really embraced the fact that this blog does not have to be about jewelry or all about what I'm doing behind the scenes.
Tea Rose has always been (and will always be) about creating a lifestyle that speaks to my soul and sharing that with all of you. I am not an influencer by any means. I'm not here to sell you on some overly expensive clothing brand or product that I wouldn't use. I am here to share my life and style with you, and to be quite honest about 75% of my wardrobe is thrifted (shout out to ThredUp!) so trying to sell you on it would be near impossible. I want to share my personal style with you and offer you brands and outfit ideas what I love, I feel like that's way more practical for most people now anyways sooo. I want to share my successes and failures, my crafts and hobbies, what I eat and whatever workout I'm into in any given week, I want to take you with me on my journey as I find hope and peace in my spirituality, and I want to give you some good songs to jam to when you need them.
Pretty much, I've been looking at blogging all wrong, instead of feeling the pressure to just write about what's going on in terms of business I need to use this space to let you all get to know me. With no pressure to sit and research something I'm not sure I'd even read if I were you and to just write what got me through the week or what song played 5,000 times on repeat I can definitely see blogging in a new light and be excited about updating more frequently. So give me a couple weeks and I'll get into the swing of it and then be looking to your advice for what you want more of.
